" Hi my name is Sarah Stetner. I'm an expert horse rider and I'm doing a video on behalf of Expert Village. The continuation of brushing from the first segment; I'm just going to continue on. This is the dirty side. I have already went with the mane and tail muck brush off of one layer, but I'm going to go again with this harder bristle brush, to try to get him cleaned up. So we start up here on the neck/pull area. You can move the halter if you want to. Get his ears. You can do it, I like to do it faster strokes and a little bit harder with you muscles. Some people go slow but I don't have all the time in the day. So make sure that you get his chest area. You don't want to stand in directly in front of a horse, but this guy it doesn't really matter because he is really calm. So but you kind of want to go out to the side in case a young horse rears up or something. So I'm brushing underneath his chest. Got to get his shoulder. Go down his leg. Make sure you get under here again. Brushing his back. Hadley get off. Under his stomach. The flank again you go to go up, over, and brush back, and this part just get brushed back with all the hair, but don't press too hard there because they are pretty sensitive. Make sure that you get on top. There is a lot of dust coming off; and if all else fails, you can always bathe a horse too, but I don't have that much time: I just want to brush him and ride him. So now I'm going to brush his face. I use a softer brush for his face just cause I'm a little nicer to my horses I guess, and it feels better on their face cause it is more sensitive. You just kind of want to go over the top, down his nose. Kind of move the halter around. Make sure that you go with type of hair that he has, and that is how you brush a horses face."
