" Hi! My name is Sarah Stetner, and I am an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. In this video I will show you how to put on a buckle halter. It is very easy. This is my horse Rowdy. Slip it over the nose band, just like that, the buckle is right here, this part. You just want to go over the back of the ears. This is called the pull. We put the pull over, or the pull part over here, and you want it kind of tight to where he still has his throat latch a little loose, but not too tight to where it is way up here, but you want it about right there; kind of in the middle of his nose because if its too low, its not going to give him enough control. If its too high, its going to bug him because it is right by his eyes; so you want it right there. Now I will lead him over here and tie him up."
