" My name is Sarah Stetner; I'm an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you how to do transitions, basic transitions from the walk to the stop, from the jog to the stop there should be smooth and the horse should not have any problems doing this or fighting you. So I'm just going to ask him to stop. Holt. I kind of sit down with my hips and you notice how his head did not come up to much. That is a good thing. A transitions is like you know like walk to jog, jog to stop, jog to walk, walk to stop. So now I'm going to ask him to walk to jog and you notice how his head didn't come up much. It was just kind of a smooth going into a sequence. So now we are jogging and I'm going to ask him to walk. Walk. I use my voice a lot. He is a voice command horse and a leg horse but every horse is different. Now I'm going to show you from the jog to the stop. So here we are jogging. Notice that I'm going to sit back a little bit and ask him to stop. Woo. Do you notice how smooth he went in how willing he was to stop from the jog I do it one more time for you. Every beginner needs to learn how to do a smooth transition I think it is very important. Holt. So that is how you do transitions."
