Video Transcript

" My name is Sarah Stetner; I'm an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you today the beginning part of western equitation. So what you do I'm just going to walk and jog in this little part. I'm walking right now trying to keep my equitation line that I told you earlier. You want your head up. You always want to look where you are going. So you want your head up. Your hands right above his withers for your rein hand. You want your back and posture always sitting up. Shoulders back. Like I said you want your ear, shoulder, hip, and the back of your heel to be a straight line. It is kind of hard to see in a baggy coat like I'm wearing today. So we are just walking the horse keeping the equitation line. I'm going to do a quick circle here. Notice how I turn my head when I do my circle. If you compete in equitation classes judges do look in turning of the head when you do circles. So we are just walking keeping a straight line going on. So this is how you walk the horse with a equitation line and in equitation class if you where to compete in one."
