Summary: Learn how to transition from a lope to a jog - free horseback riding lesson on video.
"Hi I'm Sarah Stetner I'm a expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. Right now I am cantering my horse and in this segment I'm going to show you how to go from the canter to the jog transition. Nice and smooth. It is kind of going from the canter to the walk you still do the same steps sit down a little bit, squeeze a little bit with your thighs to let the horse know that you are slowing down. Now again different training ways are different. There is millions of them out there. This is just the way that I use with my horse and it does work. In order to get him to slow down or anything from the canter you just squeeze with your like say that he is going faster you just go ahead and squeeze with your inner thighs right here and tell him easy that is what I do. He is a very voice commanded horse so he does know a lot of words. So I'm just going to ask him to jog here. Go ahead and tighten up my reins and let him know that it is coming. Jog. Ease. Ease. Wasn't the best transition but in that you see how I just sit the transition out until I get him to the speed that I want him to. So that is how you go from the canter to the jog."
