" Hi my name is Sarah Stetner I'm an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. In this little segment I'm just going to show you some transition tips. So what I do I'm going to ask him to jog right here. What I do say that a horse doesn't come down right for me or well enough for me I go ahead I'm going to ask him to hold and if he doesn't do like if he takes a couple of steps after I tell him to I'm going to show you what he is going to do. Holt. That was a good transition. So I'm going to take that. But, I show you at the canter like a couple of steps going on what it would be like so I'm going to go ahead and ask him to walk. Walk. You see that trotting right their in between. If you want a more sudden transition you are going to stop him and back him up. Back. Back. With in 10 seconds after he did. So now I'm going to cantering him again and go ahead and walk him again and he should do it better he should improve. Walk. That was good he had like one or two steps in between just enough for a horse to do that. I mean like for a horse to come down that is good. You don't want four, five steps in between though. So that is just what I do. I'm going to go ahead and ask him to woo now right quick. Let me getting him going here. I tighten my reins before the transition and everything remember. Holt. That was actually a good transition if it wasn't I would back him up and say woo woo woo woo woo and let him stand there for a little bit and then ask him to do it again and again. Since that was a good transition I will take that."
