" Hi my name is Sarah Stetner I'm an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. I just showed you how to do the stop from the canter. If you guys if your horses have trouble taking the wrong lead; I know a lot of horses do do that. It took be a while to get him to doing how good he is but what you got to do is if the horse keeps taking the wrong lead what I mean by that you know going in the inside leg as the right lead. Inside like forward. A little tip for you guys is just go ahead every time they take the wrong lead stop the horse and back him up. That is what I always do I stop and back him up. Show him that he is doing something wrong and start again. When he does take that correct lead reward him, pet him, give him a little loose rein you know that sort of thing. It would take a long time if you are on a young horse to get him to take the correct lead. A lot of like I said when I ask for his lead I go ahead and squeeze with the opposite leg of what I want his lead to be. So I go ahead if I want his left lead I want to go ahead and squeeze with my right leg. You want to keep him in a straight line also like there body straight. What I mean by that I'm going to go ahead and show you real quick. If his body is turning back and forth I use to turn his head to the inside just to get him to see what lead he is going to be on but you do want to keep him straight so I'm just going to ask him to take left lead. I'm going to squeeze with my right and go ahead and give him the kiss to canter. So go ahead and remember that I mean not every horse is going to take the right lead and know that it does take frustrating so I just wanted to go over that with you."
