Summary: Learn how to transition from a dead stop to a loping horse gait - free horseback riding lesson on video.
" Hi my name is Sarah Stetner I'm an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. That last segment that I just showed you was the extended jog to the stop and he did really good. I did pet him after the camera was off but you do want to pet your horse. You do want to reward your horse if they do good. So that was really good. I forgot to show you that I did pet him. So right now in this segment I'm just going to show you how to go ahead and go from the stop to the canter once again. We have already did this in the intermediate video but you should be you should be pretty much getting a hang of it and then I show you to extend the lope after that. So we are standing here. I'm going to go ahead and ask him to take the canter for me or the lope. It is called lope in western and cantering in English but I use pretty much both because I tell him to canter all the time. Actually I just kiss to him but I going to go ahead and tighten up my reins a little bit. Get his head from where I want it and ask him for the transition. So now we are cantering and I just showed you to go from the stop to the canter."
