"Hello! This is Rob Rubin and you're watching Expert Village. All paintball markers work by using compresses air of some kind. Some use CO2 or carbon dioxide and others use HPA or high pressure air or nitrogen. Now, if you're lucky enough to have your nitrogen bottle and you have a field that allows you to fill you nitrogen tanks, you might be able to use one of these things. It's called the whip. This is a very safe way, a very fast way that you can fill your air tanks, but there's a couple things you have to do before you start filling your own tanks. First of all, you have to make sure that you tank is within date. All tanks have a stamp on theme for hydro testing. This is to make sure that they're safe to fill with high pressure air. If your tank is out of date you can actually go to some places and get your tank hydro tested, which is making sure that it's safe. Something to make sure of before you attach your air tank to the system, make sure that the system is rated for your air tank. If you have a 3,000 PSI air tank and you hook it up to 4500 system, you're going to blow something out of your air tank. More than likely it's going to be the burst disc, which is a safety feature inside the tank to make sure that they don't hold too much pressure and go. Take a look at it first. If you don’t' know which is which ask somebody. Once you're sure your tank is safe and it within date, then you feel on the whip. The way you do that is that you remove the nipple cover, the fill nipple, assuming that you have one. You take the whip and you attach the collar to the nipple. A good idea to do is to give it a quick gentle tug to make sure that it's on, to make sure that the collar is actually all the way forward. Then hold on the whip with one hand, and depending if there's a button or lever, you just give it a push. When you do this it's going to fill your air tank with air. Then when it reaches 3,000 it will automatically stop and then you just let go. After the system has degassed completely, then it is safe to push the collar back, remove your air tank from the whip, replace the nipple cover and go get into the next game."
