Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Known as football in most countries of the world, soccer is a team sport consisting of two teams of eleven players each, one of which must be the goalie. The game has been played for centuries and can be dated back as far as 2nd and 3rd century B.C. China. In typical game play, players attempt to create goalscoring opportunities through individual control of the ball, such as by dribbling, passing the ball to a team-mate, and by taking shots at the goal, which is guarded by the opposing goalkeeper.
In this free video series, our expert Ron Weisberg will teach you all you need to know about soccer dribbling moves. "Before if you were with me you would know that I talked about dribbling and I talked about control and keeping the ball as close to you as possible and putting as many touches on the ball for control and now what I want to get into is the uses of dribbling and what your opening yourself up for. Now, the first thing that I want to talk about is dribbling so you can set up yourself for a pass cause a lot of the times you'll receive the ball and you wont have any space to make a pass so you have to dribble a little bit to create a moment where you can find a pass and open it. So, you have to set yourself up, you receive the ball, you dribble around. Your going to want to go away from the defender to give yourself some space to open up a pass."
