Video Transcript

"So now what I want to talk about is spin on the ball when you're taking a direct kick. So when you're talking about spin, you want to think: Ok, where do I want it? Do I want it on the far post or the near post? When you do it on the far post or the near post, you want the curves to bend into the goal; 'cause if you do the spin where it bends out, it's going to fly outside of the goal instead of coming in like that. So on the far post--I'm right-footed--I'm going to curve it in like this. So you have to come at it from the right, from the side, and graze it and spin the ball like that--like if you're playing tennis or Ping-Pong--and your foot's going to slice it. You get the idea."
