"So when you're taking a direct free kick, you're usually going to be close to the goal. And what we want to talk about is the ''upper 90". Now what I mean by "upper 90" is the corners, the 90 degree angles. So we have four 90s. That's all 4 corners. So the upper 90 is going to be the top corners. And so when I say the "far post upper 90'', is that corner; the "near post upper 90", is that corner. So when you're taking a direct kick and you're close enough to the goal, you want to hit those upper 90s. Because when there's a wall there, you can't kick it low, 'cause all they have to do is stick out their foot to stop the ball."
