"This is Richard for expertvillage.com, we are now going to use the three basic strokes in game types situations. As you can see we are down to the last strike ball on the table. Try to get a shape on the 8 ball. Looking at your table the only possible area for your cue ball to get shape would be down some where between the 6 ball and the rail. This is a shot that you are face with. As I come around I boost my shot, looking over the ball and I'm getting down on the ball I'm going to use a high hit on the cue ball meaning I'm going to fall on the cue ball. What is going to happen I'm going to pocket 15, cue ball is going to go a little high, roll along the rail, come off the rail and land up in this area and I have a nice shot of the 8 ball and win the game. We now have a game type situation. We have nice framing shot on the 15 ball, 8 ball sitting in front of the side pocket. You got a small window between the 5 and the 7, what you are looking to do here pocket 15, a nice stop shot. Hold your cue ball, a nice straight in shot, 8 ball in the side pocket and win the game. Now we are faced with a shot that I think that requires the most precision of all shots and that is the draw shot. We are looking at 15 ball in the corner pocket. We can't stop the ball to get on the 8 ball, we follow the ball, we are liable to leave ourselves a shot that may possibly leave us a scratch in the other side pocket. So what we are going to do is we are going to draw this cue ball, pocket the 15, draw this cue ball back , we need to draw it somewhere between the 5 and the 7 ball. That is where it becomes testy you don't drive enough you are going to hook yourself behind the 5 ball. If you draw too much you are going to hook yourself behind the 7. So this shot does require quiet a bit of work as far as mastering and getting the distances that you want to draw the ball. Chalk up our cue and we approach a shot. Coming into the ball, looking to just draw right back up into this area, we got a nice open area it is just a matter of getting your cue ball there. "
