"This is Richard with expertvillage.com, on this segment of my tips I'm going to show a demonstration on chalking your cue. Last one we talked about was we had to keep our tips in a round shape, actually scoffers are use for that. We got scoffers that will keep them ruffed up in order to, so that your tip will hold the chalk. When you go up to chalk your cue you don't necessarily grind into the tip. All it takes is the edge of the chalk and it is just a little scraping motion, you rotate your cue and you just cover the surface. Going beyond that and just grinding the chalk is doing nothing. It is not doing nothing more than you just done by just like feather taps across the tip. You do want to chalk after every before your next shot. Anytime you are approaching the table you are going to approach a shot just make it a habit and once that happens to sit in it comes natural and you just chalk your tip, get ready, prepare yourself for the next shot.
