"Hi! My name is Rick Van Hoorn and I am here to talk a bout mountain biking for Expert Village. Right now we are going to talk about mountain bike parts, the parts of the bicycle. Really important parts, seat. Want to have a comfortable seat. Seats are very particular. People have to get used to them. You want to go ahead and have a good comfortable seat for your cycling experience. Then there's the handle bars. Handle bar grips right here. That's the rubber part at the end of the handle bars and these are called bar ends to put you in another hold riding position. Really nice thing to have if you are doing a lot of cross country riding. These things here that I am pinching right now, these are the break levers. They control the breaks. We also have shifters. This is a 27 speed bicycle. The right shifter takes care of the back derailleur and the left shifter takes care of the front derailleur. Right down here you'll see we have forks. These are our suspension forks. They have a hundred millimeters of travel on them. You can buy forks today for about a $100 a pair. You could spend as much as $2,000 a pair. It's up to you. Forks travel from as little from 65 millimeters. They go all the way up to, they have 5, 6, 7,8, 9, 10 inches of travel on them too. "
