"The next exercise I’m going to demonstrate is an overhead tricep extension using the cable machine. I would suggest that if you have any shoulder problems, such as the rotator cuff issue, that you may not want to try this exercise first. What you’re going to do is grab a hold of the rope and lift it over your head, and then grab a hold as close to the bottom as possible, and you’re going to step away from the machine a couple of steps so that your elbows are up by your ears, abs are tight, back is straight. Look at your form in the mirror if you have one. You’re going to stagger your feet putting one foot in front of the other, slightly bending both knees. Same on concept as when your arms are by your side, except your arms are over your head. You’re going to exhale, press out in front of you, inhale, come back to a 90 degree bend. You’re always going to have your arms at a 90 degree bend when you’re doing tricep extensions; no matter which direction you’re doing them in. And inhale, exhale, inhale, perfect. Keep your elbows pointed forward and try not to open your arms out to the side and in one direction. "
