Video Transcript

" The next exercise I am going to demonstrate for you is a shoulder raise. Go ahead and grab your dumbbells. You can do shoulder raises either laterally or forward. I will first demonstrate lateral raises. Your feet are going to be hip width apart, standing up tall, abs are tight, slight bending the elbows and you are going to lift your arms out to the side not coming any higher than parallel to the floor. So you should never bring your elbows past your shoulders. Slight bending the elbows, loose grip on the dumbbell, exhale and inhale as you lower, perfect. Front raises, you will just turn your palms in toward your body, bringing your arms forward, same concept, abs are tight and exhale as you lift. Again you are not going to bring your arms past your shoulders, one straight line, good."
