Video Transcript

"The next exercise I am going to demonstrate to you is called the double straight leg. Go ahead and lie flat on your mat and you are going to take your hands and place them behind your head. Elbows out to the side extending both legs up toward the ceiling pointing your toes. Before you begin, you are going to lift your head off of the mat, navel into your spine. Exhale as you lift. Rest your head and your hands, keep your navel tight. That is what is going to hold your body up. You are going to inhale keeping those legs together lowering as close as you possibly can so that the floor here and lift. Very good! Inhale lower, navel to spine, exhale lift and back to starting. Inhale lower and exhale lift. Perfect. Make sure you don’t arch your back as you lower and exhale as you lift. Always keeping a neutral alignment in your thigh keeping your navel pulled in and exhale lift. Very Good! Using the hands versus abdominals to lift those legs back up. "
