" The next exercise we’re going to is called an upright row. We’re just going to use a barbell to do it. Keep in mind if you’re not using a machine you do need more balance and control if you’re using free weights. Go ahead and grab a hold of your bar. You want to bring your hands a little bit closer, so that they have to be at least shoulder width apart. You don’t want them to come too wide. Navel is going to come to your spine. You’re going to take a big inhale before you start. Exhale as you lift, pulling the bar under your chin your elbows are going to point diagonally out to the side, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Inhale and lower straight back down. Exhale as you lift. Inhale as you lower. Very important to get the bar under your chin and point those elbows diagonally out to the side. Inhale and exhale as you lift. Perfect. Try not to rock your body front to back. Keep the weight and pressure in your arms. Try not to use momentum. Exhale and inhale as you lower. Very good. Exhale and inhale. Perfect. Inhale. "
