"The next exercise we’re going to do is called the single leg stretch. Go ahead and come to your mat, lay flat on your back and pull both knees into your chest. Optional you can lift your head off of the floor; if your neck gets tired go ahead and place your head back on the floor and continue the exercise. Gazing at your belly button, chin comes to your chest, navel to spine, lift the shoulder blades off of the floor and go ahead and extend that left leg out in front of you pointing your toe and letting that leg hover over the floor a couple of inches. Your left hand comes down by your right ankle, your right hand comes up by your right knee and you’re going to post that bottom leg for 2 counts as you exhale. Keeping the legs in the same plane, inhale through the center – same position, right hand by the left ankle, left hand by the left knee and exhale – exhale. Inhale – exhale – exhale. Inhale. Inhale. Inhale and exhale-exhale. Keep in mind the legs are the only thing moving during this exercise, so from the hips up you’re going to remain stationery. Exhale-exhale. Exhale-exhale. For more of a challenge, exhale-exhale, you can extend both legs, reach up for your ankles, single straight leg stretch. Inhale-exhale-exhale. Again, the legs are the only thing moving. Exhale 2, inhale, inhale, exhale-exhale. Very good. Keep the navel pulled in to the spine. Exhale 2, inhale. Very good. "
