Taking a look at the right fielder, the right fielder has the same responsibilities as the left fielder but flipped to the other side. He has to play fly balls all the way back to the fence between the foul line and center field, deferring to the center fielder if necessary. He also has to cover foul territory balls hit to the right side of the field. The right fielder has the added responsibility, just like the left fielder, of backing up the first baseman and the second baseman on ground balls hit to the infield. You want your right fielder to have a very good arm because he frequently has to make throws to second base as a runner tries to stretch a single into a double. Sometimes if they're moving from second to third he has to make a very long throw to third base and sometimes he has to make plays to the plate. So, it's very important for your right fielder to have a very strong and accurate arm, almost like a pitcher, but not necessarily. That covers the responsibilities of the right fielder.
