"Hi! I’m Paul from Eastern Mountain Sports on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip, I want to talk about how to properly maintain and stow your climbing shoes. As you know, climbing shoes are a very vital part of climbing and it is important to keep them top notch all the time. Make sure that your soles don’t get wet and aren’t dirty. Also, around the toe area make sure they are not cracked or pulling from the shoe itself at all in any spot. You can also go over the rest of your shoe and make sure that the laces are not frayed, torn or nicked all up and down the shoe. All the stitching should be intact and these of webbing on the back should be secured also. When storing your shoes, store it in a cool dry place or keep it in your climbing bag away from any other cams or other thing that may nick or cut the rubber. "
