"In this clip, I am going to demonstrate how to properly load and store your climbing bag. First I like to start with webbing and runners on the bottom of my bag. Because one they are going to be far away from my hard goods and two when I set this bag down, my hard goods won’t get chipped like they would if they were on the bottom of the bag. After my runners and webbing, I am going to put in my climbing harness. I too want this to be far away from hard goods and sharp objects so it is going to go in the bottom of my bag. After my harness, my shoes will go in to keep them free and clear of sharp objects. Now I will place my hard goods in the climbing bag. I am going to start with my caribeiners and quick draws because they are not very sharp and they won’t cut or degrade any of the webbing or harness that I already have in here. Last my cams and tri-cams will go in on top of everything else. This will also keep the heavier part of the weight higher on your back which is where you want it any way. Finally extremely sharp objects like your ice axe are going to be kept on the very outside of your bag so that it is free and clear of all your other gear."
