on 1/22/2009 That's not a giraffe. As an "Expert" you should know that a "Giraffe" unicycle is only made by Schwinn. That's just a tall unicycle...

"Okay, guys, this here is a giraffe unicycle. It's called giraffe because it's larger in size. It's about five foot eleven inches here. Looks intimidating but really isn't that difficult to ride. What I'm going to show you guys now here in a second is the assisted mount to a giraffe. Pretty much you have to make due with what you've got. I've hopped on it from everything from a mailbox to a trash can, to a telephone poll. You really just have to look around and do what you can with the resources. Make sure it's not too dangerous, but pick something that you think is pretty sturdy. So, luckily right over here I have a car. Looks pretty sturdy. 1970s guy here. They made them well back in those days. Go ahead and hold onto this thing. Get one foot on. Make sure everything is ready to go here, and whenever you're ready just go ahead and push off of the wall. Make sure your balance is right, make sure there's nothing in front of you. You move forward, and then I like to just go into an idle. Ironically idling is very, very easy on the giraffe. Much, much easier than a regular unicycle because you have a lot more leverage. And some of the things you might want to watch out for while you're up here is pulling up your pant leg. Now, because there's a chain down there, it is pretty dangerous in that your pant leg could get caught up in the spokes, the wheel. You notice I'm not struggling as much to idle on it. I can do stuff like this, and this, this. Waive high to the neighbors. Whatever. Now, to dismount from the giraffe, don't go down the same way you came up. That could very dangerous. What you do is you find a spot on the ground, you look down for it, you grab on the back of it, and you basically cushion the landing. Okay, when you hit the ground kind of bend your legs a little bit, kind of absorb the blow, and you should be fine. Make sure there's nothing really in the way here, and hop down. Tada, pretty simple. And that, guys, is how you ride a giraffe unicycle."
