"So this segment, guys, is all about going backwards. Going backwards, a couple things to keep in mind is that if you don't already know how to idle, I would idle first and then come back to this spot, because it really comes in handy. Another thing is make sure everything behind you is out of the way. So you're going to be going forward like so, stop, catch yourself, don't really worry about going backwards right away. So you catch yourself almost like in idle, if you have to idle a couple times that's fine too, and then go backwards. Chances are you're going to fall forward the first couple times. That's fine. So I'm going to show it to you this time. I'm going to go forward, like this; I catch myself, go backwards, and again make a game out of it. See how many you get--one, two, three, four, and then eventually you can just ride backwards far and forever. So I'll go ahead and show that to you one more time. See if I can get more than a couple pedals backwards. I hop up in the free mount, catch myself, get my balance, then go backwards. That's pretty much it. Keep your back straight, keep looking forward, keep balanced, keep riding, make sure there's nothing behind you, and that, guys, is how you ride backwards on a unicycle."
