" Thanks for joining me on Expert Village. Another format would be points play. In points play, the object would be to maximize your score not minimize your score. What you're trying to do is to maximize your points. For example, if you got an ace it would be 50 points. If you hit chains from the tee pad it would 40 points. If you hit metal other than the chains it would be 30 points. There's different scales that you can setup on these systems. Then on your second shot, if you get it on your second shot, a birdie, it would be 40 points. Then if you hit chains it might be 30 points. The scale drops a little bit on the second shot, and subsequently on the third shot as well. So the one who hits the metal quickest typically is going to win because they get more points. So then you add your scores up and it might be 560 to 320, so the scores are kind of fun to look at, but I've been in these types of matches and I'm behind 200 points and on the 3 or 4 holes i come back and I end up wining. It's a lot of fun because the scores go up and down so quickly. Anyway, in conclusion here, the primaries are the singles and the doubles. The doubles have quite a few formats that are really fun to play. "
