"Hi, my name is Peter with Expert Village. Today I'm going to talk to you about cross country running. In this section we're going talk about the stretching to the chins. I know a lot of you runners have heard of it but you'll hear chin splints in the running world. What chin splints are is located right here, it's the bone right there where the chins are. The reason why people get chin splints is cause that's a stretch fracture if you can get if there's not any type of proper stretching when ever you go running. So a good way to stretch it out is just put your toe right here up against some type of tree or curb and just point it up at a 45 degrees. You'll get a nice stretch not only on your calf's but on your chin splints as well. What you can do is get the opposite leg but another nice little stretch for it you can do another rotation making circles and then go ahead go the opposite way making rotations as well. The circles can be about 10-15 seconds each and then when you switch you can do the chins for about 30 seconds to a minutes. That is not only going to save you a lot of money for any type of medical bills but it's going to prevent you from getting any chin fracture."
