"Hi, my name is Peter. I'm with Expert Village today I'm going to talk to you about cross country running. In this section I'm going to talk to you about warming up. When you guys warm up as a team you want to do a couple of jumping jacks that's fine but if it's a three mile run, then you guys want to warm up together and go at a nice steady jog. Usually it's kind of military style so maybe you have four people in a line and so let's say that's my running partner and he's in front of me. You guys will run for the first half mile. Directly behind one of another that last person will go in front and you'll continue running and then the next person will go in front and then the next person. You guys want to do that for the first half mile then after that you can just pick it up and separate into two's. That is a good way of warming up. If it's five miles extend it for a mile and then it's seven miles you have extend it for a mile in a half so that way you get all the blood flowing to the muscles and from head to toe. That way you don't get any type of injuries and you prevent all that from happening."
