"RASUL AHMED DAVIS: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Rasul Davis and my company is Punch Kettlebell Gym, New York City, and today I'm going to show you how to get into the swing of things with kettlebells. The next exercise I'm going to demonstrate is called "the clean." Okay, cleans are just a very safe way to bring the kettlebell from the ground up to the shoulder area so you can do overhead lifts, okay? Very simple. Grab it with your right hand. The kettlebell should be right behind your heels. Again, neutral spine, proper alignment--that's key--then up. All the work is done by the hips and the legs. It's not an upper body. You're not curling. The weight should actually float up, and this is all about where the swing--what you learned in the swing. So from here. There you go. The key is using your legs and your hips, letting the weight float up."
