"On behalf of expertvillage.com my name is Ray Boone and I run the Ray Boone Golf Academy at the beautiful Miami Beach Academy Golf Club. Today I'd like to present to your the basics of short game. Okay here we are a little further from the green now, we've gone over the seven iron, the nine iron, the basic bump and run type of chip shot. Here we are a little further away, we've got about probably 12 yards to get to the edge of the green, we then have about 30 feet of green to work with. I'm going to now change clubs, I'm going to go to my sand wedge, which has 56 degrees of loft, I'm going to make a little bit bigger swing, I'm going to let my legs and hips move a little bit more on this one. Again though, I'm picking my spot on the edge on the green so all I have to do is try to hit my spot. I'm not worried about where my shot is going to end up, if I hit my spot, I hit a great shot. Now I don't predict the shot perfectly every time and I don't pick my spot perfectly, but as you practice more and more, you're going to get better at predicting where to land the golf ball. So here we are, again I'm playing the ball back, hands forward and my swing is going to get a little bit bigger and you'll notice also on my follow through that I'm not getting flippy with my wrist."
