"On behalf of expertvillage.com my name is Ray Boone and I run the Ray Boone Golf Academy at the beautiful Miami Beach Golf Club. Today I'd like to present to your the basics of short game. Here's a tip for the really good player, do not become wooden in your stroke, do not your wrist, do not lock your hips into place. Be relaxed, be athletic as you're chipping around the green, use your athletic ability. I mean if I were shooting dart, or if I'm shooting a basketball, my legs and hips are moving I want to think of I'm tossing the ball under handed, I have a little bit of leg and hip motion in there. My head is staying quiet in that shot, I'm not moving my head with it, but my lower body is reacting to the target I'm moving a little bit. As my shots get farther away, I'm also going to start to move my legs and body a little bit more in the swing. So the good player, really you want to keep some motion in there, don't loose your feel, don't become ridged and stiff, stay relaxed, let the club swing a little bit, soft hands and wrist and again let your knees and hips and feet move a little bit in the stroke."
