"On behalf of expertvillage.com my name is Ray Boone and I run the Ray Boone Golf Academy at the beautiful Miami Beach Academy Golf Club. Today I'd like to present to you the topic of the over the top golf swing. So now we've got the right elbow dropping into the side, we've got the 90 degree angle there, we're getting the hips to clear out of the way, left hips going up and around, right elbow underneath. Okay the other thing you're going to see is you're going to have good angle in the back of your right wrist. So that angle maintains your angle in the shaft in the left arm as your coming down, so that's a 90 degree angle. We want to maintain that as we're approaching the golf ball, we don't want to release the club early. That also gets the club outside and over the top. We want to hold underneath, right elbow under and again then you can really start to fire your hits with a shot once you drop the club on that inside slot. So again let's look at it, we're up to the top, we're dropping the club on the inside slot and then we're really clearing the hip out, driving that right hip through the shot and finishing your swing completely around and really accelerating through the golf ball. The other thing you want to add to that is staying relaxed as you're doing it."
