"On behalf of expertvillage.com my name is Ray Boone and I run the Ray Boone Golf Academy at the beautiful Miami Beach Golf Club. Today I'd like to present to you the basics of short game. Here we are again with the basics of chipping. The ball position again is on the right, we're laying the club face up to the target. Many times the greens have a lot of slope, you may have to aim right or left of the flag depending on the curvature of the green. You want to take that into account and I would like you to try to pick a spot to aim at, so we're going to come over here. I picked a spot on the front edge of the green and I'm going to just try to land my golf ball on that spot. I've chosen a 7 iron, I got a lot of roll here, I really want to roll the ball to the flag, it's 60 ft beyond the green. Ball position on the right, hands forward and I'm going to try to land the ball just on my spot and let it roll to the hole from there. So again, very little wrist action, ball position on the right, weight more on the left and very little wrist back and through it."
