" On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Raymond T. Meyer of Lost Island Voyages, Miami, Florida. This is Ben and Antonio. Today were going to touch on the subject of beginning canoing and kayaking. Some other items that are very important to consider on any canoing trip would probably be the certain things that may not seem essential, but would be very important once you're out in the water, such as a water bottle, sunscreen, or even a ziploc bag to keep your personal items in. A ziploc bag is generally the best, because it will keep your items dry, and if you drop them in the water, they will stay afloat. Also, it is important to wear a swimming trunks, just in case you may have to wade...or sandles. When wearing sandles, it is important to have a back strap. This is perfect because, generally speaking, you would be walking through mud and they might fall off. Also, a hat is very important to keep the sun out of your eyes. Also, a bailer is very important. Generally speaking it is best to have a line attached, so you can keep it and bail the water out of the boat if it gets filled up. "
