" On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Raymond Temeyer with Lost Island Voyages, and we also have with us Valerie Kevorkian from Tarpoon Lagoon Dive Center in Miami Beach. We’re going to talk about snorkeling today and all the opportunities that it provides. You’ll notice in the last clip, that Ben was doing a proper for snorkeling, which enabled him to move through the water quite easily and relaxed. Ben is now going to show us the improper or wrong way to kick in the water, which most people try to do because it’s a little bit more natural. So, you’ve got to learn the proper way for snorkeling. Ben go ahead and show us what the most common mistakes are. Flapping the water with your fin makes it really hard for you to move; you don’t move as efficiently through the water. Using your arms as well is not a proper movement. Snorkeling should be with your legs only. If you notice in the first clip, Ben had his arms to his side and was moving quite well. Bicycle kick is another problem with people snorkeling. They do a bicycle kick, which doesn’t let them move through the water too quickly. "
