" Hi I'm Reyno Benjamin with expertvillage.com. We are going to talk a little bit about a slap shot. A slap shot is basically a shot that is powered from your legs. Your knees are bent, your… on ice you’re moving forward, and you are about to take the shot: your stick goes up; your weight is on your back foot, transfers to the front foot. It is almost like taking a baseball swing. This is how you take a baseball swing; look at my feet. From here to here the weight is transferred. Same thing you want the puck in the middle right here or the ball. Ready to take the slap shot. You want it almost if you are transferring weight almost to the back foot but, mostly in the middle. If you start up here with a slap shot your hand transfers down a little bit, then you bring up right there and your slap shot is right there. Remember contact with the ball first. Then I'm going to the puck right after that. Basically you start up here and slap in here. Same thing..."
