" Hi Reyno Benjamin with expertvillage.com. We’re gonna talk about picking out a stick. It’s all what you feel comfortable with. Usually, for ice hockey, you want the stick, flip it up, measure it to your nose, chin, above your chin. Usually I like my stick a lot shorter, because it just better for my stick handling. For my ice hockey stick it is usually up here. For my floor hockey stick I go down very small. I go down here it gives me a better snap shoot and a better control of the ball. You basically need gripping; you have your lefty your right hand is on top and your left hand on the bottom. You maneuver a lot with your wrist. The feel of the stick is very, very important. Some people like a lot of curve, not too much curve, slight curve and it gives you that feel. I like lighter sticks for my size. A lot of individuals like to use heavy sticks. Bigger guys. This is basically your personal preference. "
