"Hi, I’m Rich Carr from Meadia Heights Golf Club in Lancaster, PA on behalf of Expert Village. I’m here to talk to you about proper attire for the golf course. When you make your tee time at any golf course you may want to ask, what is allowable on the golf course as far as attire goes. Most clubs or courses have some set of rules as far as attire goes. I’m just going to go over some very general guidelines for proper attire on the golf course. The shirt that I have on, a collared shirt, most clubs and course require. Also there’s what we call a mock turtleneck, that clubs and courses will allow, same as this shirt. One of the very big things on most courses, they want you to have your shirt tucked in, rather than out. That’s, that’s, almost universal I’d say at most places, uh, most places don’t allow jeans, some do, but again, check when you make a tee time. Um, we’ll talk about shoes here just a little bit. Golf shoes or sneakers, most places will allow you to play in sneakers. What you want to avoid are any kind of boots, heels, uh, baseball cleats and that sort of thing. So, those are some very general guidelines for course attire and if you have any questions, like I said, check with the shop when you make your tee time. Every club or course now requires the soft spikes in your shoes. It used to be where you could play with metal spikes or soft spikes, but now every club or course requires the soft spikes. "
