When playing golf, leave the course better than you found it. Fix any ball marks you make on the green, and while you're at it, fix other marks that you find as well. Learn golf course etiquette for ball marks in this free online instructional video.
"Hi, I’m Rich Carr from Meadia Heights Gold Club in Lancaster, PA. I’m going to show you what to do after you’ve made a ball mark in the green, from your second, third, fourth or fifth shot. As you can see I’ve made an indentation in the green, so I’m going to show you exactly how to fix it. As you can see I’m going to go along the outer edge, very carefully without digging too deeply, raise up the turf, and then once I’ve done that, I just might smooth it over a little bit with my foot, or my putter actually. And as a general rule, in the game of golf we always like to leave the course in better shape than we found it. So if you see an extra ball mark on the green just go ahead and fix it quickly in same manner that you just fixed your own ball mark and you’ve done your fellow golfers quite a bit of good and in this case left the course better than you found it."
