on 10/26/2008 no way hes an instructor or a black belt.
just the way he described the stance and presented the stance was terrible. i've watched most his videos and really cant see why expert village hired some guy from obviously an mc dojo to be a "karate expert" on here. the 5 grand championships part is probably from some lame local karate tournaments that had no real competition. anyone can compete in local karate tournaments so being in 70 isnt impressive and placing in 50 of them isnt either. and people wonder why karate has such a bad rep. and the worst part is that people are buying this crap. god the round house kick was terrible. he barely even turned his foot half way while it should turn all the way, and really just didnt look good. " How are you doing? My name is Qaeem and on behalf of Expert Village, I’m going to be demonstrating Shorin-Ryu Karate. The beginning form of Shorin-Ryu Karate, we’re going to talk about the stances. The first stance we are going to talk about is the forward stance. The forward stance is for moving forward. You can get many different movements out of the forward stance. Once again, you are going to start in the ready position and then you are going to step out with your left foot. Your left foot is not going to step directly in front of you; however, it’s going to step to the side. Now, you’re going to get in a ready position. You’re going to step out to the side and you could see that your legs are not that far apart. However once you bend you front knee, your legs become further apart. Now by checking this forward stance you can get down on your knee. You should be able to get one fist in between your knee and your foot. That is the correct forward stance. Now, the forward stance that you can also do it on your right side, same thing. Step out and down. Your back leg is going to be facing an angle. Your knees are going to be facing forward. You can get many techniques out of the forward stance. You can get a punch, reverse punch; you can get a back kick. You can get a front snap kick. There are many different techniques that you can get out of the forward stance. That is the forward stance and on behalf of Expert Village, my name is Qaeem, thank you for watching."
