on 8/2/2008 Two faults/typos in both title and transcript: Hai hanmi and gaiku hanmi is the wrong way to write it. It is ai hanmi and gyaku hanmi.

Video Transcript

" On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Ralph Reyes. I'm the Dojo-cho and the aikido instructor at Chi Martial Arts in Miami Shores, Florida. Today we are going to learn beginner's techniques in aikido. In aikido, we have two stances, which I will demonstrate to you right now. The first stance is called hai hanmi, and this where the two practitioners are standing with opposite foot out. The second is called gaiku hanmi, and both feet are out, the side of the foot is facing each other. So let's repeat this one more time: gaiku hanmi, hai hanmi, again, gaiku hanmi, hai hanmi. "
