"Hi! My name is Randy Guerrero here with Expert Village and I am going to show you some basics of the defensive tackle. When a quarter back says hit or hut, you want to step that first step that is closest to the guy. You want to get low, stand underneath their pads. If you stand up, you don't want to get pushed back and you won't make a play because defensive tackles mostly don't make a lot of plays. It is usually the linebackers controlling that line of scrimmage making these running backs bounce for these outside line backers can make a play. "
