"So, you're on the road and you don't have a spare tube, this is one of the main reasons to use a patch kit. A patch kit will have some glue, a variety of patches, usually a couple of large ones like this, some small ones, some medium ones. More importantly it will also have a little piece of sandpaper, very important in terms of patching a tube. The glue, it's actually not really glue, it's a vulcanizing fluid, so it actually melts the rubber of the tube and patch together, this is what give you an effective patch. Also you'll notice these patches have foil backing and then a clear, so when you install them, it's really important to realize that this backing that's here, not the foil, can stay on, you don't need to peel that off once that patch is installed. So, in terms of using this, use the right size patch and be patient using the vulcanizing fluid."
