"On a road bike, your saddle height should be set so that at the bottom of your pedal stroke, again we're looking at you know roughly a twenty-five to thirty degree bend in your leg again, without keeping your heel way up in the air. If you pedal with a lot or ankling or you normally pedal with your heel up all the way through your pedal stroke, yeah, you will need that seat a little higher. But again, it's really important not to get stuck in that pedaling style, try to keep your heels down through your pedal stroke and set your saddle height up accordingly because you'll definitely get more efficiency out of your pedal stroke if you keep from doing that. One thing to keep in mind, when you're out on a newer bike and you've had it professionally fitted don't be afraid to take a wrench with you on the ride. Maybe not one of these but one that folds and just put it in your saddle bag and you just take that with you because being able to stop, loosen this, and make some small adjustments to the tune of a half a centimeter, can make a miserable ride into a really good one. So again, don't be afraid to make small adjustments, while you're on the road, with a new bike. "
