"In all the bikes, types that are out there, whether they be a hybrid, road, or mountain, there's varying degrees of comfort that each type is going to afford you. Ah, it's going to be fairly straight forward in that each type of bike is going to come with, you know, a wider tire, a wider seat, a more upright, upright riding position when it's leaning towards more comfort. The more performance oriented bike is going to have a slightly narrower tire, more aggressive position in terms of saddle height to bar height, and you know, not as comfortable. However, if you are using a bike just for short distances, less than ten miles, then sure, be as comfortable as you want. Have the wide tires, have the wide seat, have the very upright riding position. You will be comfortable, however, you will be working a lot harder to get the bike to go. Again, before ten miles or up, it's not that big a deal, but if you plan on riding more than that, fit and performance are going to be real issues."
