"Hi! I'm Niqui with Studio Soiree on behalf of Expert Village. I want to show you a way that you can use the pole to assist in leg lifts. It would help to have a yoga mat or a Pilates mat. Hold the pole and you can interlace your fingers on the other side of the pole. You always want to have your abs engaged. You'll start with your left leg straight up so that you can make sure that all of the vertebrae of your spine are on the floor, and you want to keep it that way through the whole exercise. We're going to bring our legs down. You'll be exhaling as you go down. You'll bring your legs down as far as you can without compromising your spine in your lower spine. You'll inhale back here. You'll exhale as you're coming up and up the pole. This believe it or not, is your resting position. I'll do a rep. Then we can add a little bit of obliques by tipping to one side. Those are leg extensions."
