"We're going to talk about how to get in a sit-inside kayak. First kayak we got inside was a sit-on-top, this is a sit-inside. Getting in from a dock, you want to put your paddle on the outside of the boat, on the back of the boat, that way you'll have it, it's ready to go, you know where it's at, and you're ready. You want to sit on the dock keeping your center of gravity as low as you can, just like before, put both feet in the boat. And again, I want to bring my knees to my chest. The whole reason I bring my knees to my chest is it keeps the boat against the dock. If I push away on my feet, the boat goes away from the dock and there's a good chance I'm going to end up swimming. So, I want to bring my knees to my chest, and it's pulling the boat to me, I can reach across to the outside. As I go ahead and slide my butt across, I press on this hand and take the weight off my butt, lift up, and slide into the boat. I'll slide my legs into the boat like this, and I'm ready to go."
