"If it's especially wet, I would recommend wearing a heavier duty jacket like this, which is little bit more water proof and extremely warm. This is also good for times when you want to get a shorter ride in and don't want to go through the hassle of putting on three or four layers. You can just wear a heavier weight jacket and be done with it. Then of course your extremities are the most important things to keep warm. There the things that is the furthest away from your heart and the most susceptible to heat loss. Start off by wearing a good insulated hat that covers your ears because ears are big sails that are catching the wind. So, with a hat like this, you can still if you have a helmet that your right in the middle of the size range of, you can still fit your helmet, which is nice because helmets are pretty important piece of safety gear and then a heavy weight glove. Maybe with a spare set of gloves in your back pocket in case these get wet and you stop and they get cold. There's nothing worse than cold gloves and a quality winter cycling shoe. It's going to be more insulated, gives your feet a little bit more room to move around to keep warm. If it gets really, really cold, you can put an additional shoe cover over this shoe that's like an additional neoprene layer, that's going to keep this shoe dryer and warmer. That is going to temperatures down to around negative ten degrees or so. If it?s colder than that, it might be a good day to read a book. So there you go."
