"MICKEY DENONCOURT: If it's a shorter descent, maybe the descent it's just this little G-out or a gully, being on your brake hoods like this is probably going to be good because it's going to be your cornering ability is going to feel a little bit more natural. So if you're just going dropping down into a steep little gully and coming back up, you know, the hoods, that's where most of people spend their time on the cross bikes, got to be nice. If it's a longer, more off-camber section that, you know, maybe you have to use some braking on and you've got the bar top levers riding sort of on top of your bars, you know, being able to reach those levers and sort of more of a mountain bike position is going to be pretty handy. Even if you don't have those brake levers on a nice off-camber being up on the top is going to make it way easier to distribute your weight to keep from falling over when your tires slide up. So stable body, realizing that you have three different places you can put your hands and what their strengths are, in really rough stuff, the drops are good. Things that are more transitioned are probably on the hoods, off-cambers, the top fork works very well and, you know, just know the trail, look far ahead and ride strong on the bike."
