While you can ride your bike in clothes that I have on right now, a t-shirt, pair of jeans, some floppy shoes, whatever you have, it's not going to be the safest most comfortable or the most effective way to ride. There's certain things that are in obvious like choosing a nice helmet is going to make you a lot comfortable and a lot safer. There's other little things that we can add into the equation for cycling clothing that really just increase our enjoyment. Things like cycling shorts that have padded shammies, which are pads that make it more comfortable and give you support for riding. If it's something like a short that has more protection for more extreme use, additional padding on the side and stuff like that. Something as simple as choosing a lightweight wicking sock that's going to keep your feet dry in conditions. There's a lot of little things to think about when we are getting our clothing together to go riding.
